Ryan’s Real Estate Take
It’s been an interesting year with mortgage rates putting a noticeable damper on the number of real estate sales. As you can see above - we’ve seen 28% fewer homes sold this year (compared to 2022).
Fewer homeowners are listing their homes, which has kept home values relatively stable - you can see that we’re nearly back to the average home values we had last year at this time. Many buyers can shop a little more casually right now with more homes sitting on the market for longer (something we haven’t seen in a while)…but there are still the occasional bidding wars for desirable homes in desirable locations.
